Apparently… when you live in the country, it’s important to set fire to parts of your yard and ditch. I presume it’s a desperate attempt for burly country menfolk to regain their manhood after many months of winter and idleness.

And if it really makes the tall brushy areas of your acreage lush and green, why don’t people just burn their whole yard and enjoy the beautiful thick green goodness?

And while they’re busy being so productive, I’m happy to wear my bonnet and apron in the kitchen and whip up the menfolk something delicious for when they come in from such grueling work. Though there’s no photograph to prove THAT part.  🙂
