Concerns

January 18, 2011 by Bethany Sy

Sunrise on the countryside!

Yesterday was my first OB appointment, and I was super nervous. SO nervous in fact that I had convinced myself that something was wrong with the babes, and begged them to schedule an ultrasound in addition to the consultation. I needed to see them wiggling and hear their heartbeats, because honestly, I haven’t been feeling like everything’s right. My ‘pregnancy symptoms’ abruptly stopped last week (at 10 weeks), and I have no longer felt tired, queezy, dizzy, hungry or icky. It freaked me out.

But the little buggers were just fine! And legitimately looked like human beings this time around… instead of blobs! Oh my gosh, they’re so cute and wiggly. And they were kicking each other. I totally didn’t expect them to be alive, let alone moving!!! Best thing ever.

We’ve started to take belly progression photos. Here’s the most recent!

Have been following your blog for quite sometime now and just have to say how happy I am for you and your husband. Wishing you all the best in life. Oh and love seeing all the backsplashes you create. And the furniture make overs. Talented couple.

You’ll probably have those thoughts throughout…just try to relax though! Stress isn’t good for anyone! I agree, when they are big enough to be kicking, you’ll probably not be quite so worried…but then when they don’t kick for a little while, you’ll be concerned again. I know I was! So excited to see belly pictures and watch you grow! Mine were not worthy of sharing, as I did not feel confident or attractive, just fat, through most of it! 🙂 Glad things are going well! We are thinking of you!

I can understand why you felt that way!! So glad the little bugers are alive and kicking! Maybe you will be one of those blessed to have like the perfect pregnancy with hardly any not-so-fun symptoms! 🙂 You do deserve it. 🙂

When I was prego I turned into a total hypochondriac, I swear I totally drove my family nuts with worry…every time I read something scary in one of my pregnancy books I would swear I had it. The hormones dont help either 🙂 I remember thinking if I can just make it to 7 months everything will be ok…and after 7 months I still worried. Its just so scary I was worried that one morning I would just wake up and all my hopes and dreams about being a mother would be gone…my lil pumpkin is now 2 and she is running me ragged!

You’re so cute! I feel the same way all the time. Last week I thought my bump was getting smaller and the baby had disappeared, lol. I’m glad everything is going well for you!

You are so funny. Someone should have told you that you will have those feelings from time to time. They pass; especially when the babies are big enough to give you a kick just to let you know they are alive and doing well…..

What a relief to know your babies are doing just fine. You must have been in panic mode for a few days wondering what was going on! Keep telling us everything–from the good to the not-so-good!
