Remember how our kitties, Blanche and Lucille, collectively had 11 kittens this summer? We were planning on keeping a couple of them… or however many we couldn’t find homes for. But happily, they all got snatched up and taken to loving homes! I was a little sad, but luckily I hadn’t allowed myself to get attached to any of them, because I didn’t know which ones we would end up keeping. We didn’t even name them! But it was so fun to have baby kitties on our acreage for a summer. It’s a good thing Paisley and Adelyn aren’t old enough to love them and want to keep them ALL. And since we don’t have any out-buildings on our acreage, our cats come and go from the garage during the winter… which means a litter box is in active use. And if we had any more cats, the litter box situation may just become out of control. So we’re content with adult kitties, and …Reuben.
If you haven’t been around the blog for too long, Reuben is our special-needs dog. His special needs include: destroying everything he sees, killing tiny helpless animals, defiant refusal to obey or manage his emotions, total lack of attention span and general common sense.
I love Rueben! I think it is the chocolate in him….ours was the same way!
