Recipe type: Dessert
  • 1 cup Butter, room temp
  • 2 cups Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 cups Buttermilk
  • 4 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Soda
Cinnamon Sugar Topping
  • ⅔ cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Combine the butter, sugar and eggs in a bowl. In a separate bowl combine the buttermilk, flour, and baking soda. Cream together. In a small bowl combine the sugar and cinnamon. Mix together and add to the sugar/butter mixture. Stir until just combined.
  2. Spray 2- 9×5 bread pans with baking pray and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Then divide ½ of the batter between the bread pans. Sprinkle ¾ of your cinnamon sugar mixture over the batter. Spread the rest of the batter on top and finish by sprinkling the cinnamon sugar over the top and swirling it around with a knife. Bake for about 45 minutes. Let cool for 20 minutes in the pan and then turn out onto a cooling rack.
